Figure illustrates left middle ear cholosteatoma. Axial single-shot FSE DWI (non-EPI) with b1000 (A), axial readout segmented (RS) EPI DWI with b1000 (B) with its corresponding ADC map (C), and multiplanar reconstruction in coronal (D) & sagittal (E) plane, and high-resolution 3D T2-w anatomical imaging (F). In this particular case, the advantages of RS-EPI technique are the reduced SAR, high-resolution 1.5 mm isotropic imaging and the capability of ADC map calculation. Scan time was approximately the same for both acquisitions. Image dataset acquired at 1.5 Tesla, courtesy of Bac Nguyen.
